Spanish Folk dances

DON SANCHO was founded in 1994 as an ethnographic association dedicated to the compilation and diffusion of the folklore of Zamora.

Since the moment of its creation, the traditional culture of Zamora has been taught over 1500 people in various courses, lectures and seminars for public institutions, companies, associations, federations, as well as in our Traditional Dance School in Zamora.

DON SANCHO has one of the best collections of traditional clothing in the West of Castilla-Leon, with unique pieces from the 19th and 20th centuries.

Our association has recorded two albums: Báilenlo luego and Al recién nacido, la Gloria, and has also put on stage several premiered performances on the Tradition in Zamora.

DON SANCHO has organized the Spring Folk Festival and the International Folklore Festival in Zamora during all the editions.

It belongs to the Spanish Federation of Folklore Groups, with the UNESCO Status B.

Our members have represented the Folklore of Zamora in both National and International Festivals. Everywhere, our group has caused great admiration and appreciation not only for our sound, authenticity, variety and quality of clothing, but also for our strength on stage.
